- Asian Handicap
- A split handicap betting option that reduces the chance of a draw by giving half or quarter goal advantages.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of deciding how much money to allocate for betting and how to size each wager.
- Bonus Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings.
- Bookmaker
- A company or individual that sets odds and accepts bets from the public.
- Both Teams to Score
- A bet that wins if each side scores at least one goal during the match.
- Cashout
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the match ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet that requires predicting the exact final score of the match.
- Edge
- The statistical advantage a bettor calculates they have over the bookmaker’s odds.
- Futures Bet
- A long-term bet placed on the outcome of a tournament, such as which team will win the World Cup.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that combines predictions for the score at half-time and at the end of the match.
- Hedge
- Placing a second bet on the opposite outcome to reduce risk or guarantee a profit.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on events while the match is already in progress, with odds that update in real time.
- Juice
- The commission or fee a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, reflected in the odds.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a particular outcome will not happen, typically placed on a betting exchange.
- Live Odds
- The constantly changing odds offered during a live match, reflecting the current state of play.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds shown as a positive or negative number indicating the payout.
- Over/Under
- A bet predicting whether the total number of goals in a match will be more or less than a set figure.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to the favored team to level the betting field, expressed as a number of goals or points.
- Prop Bet
- A wager on a specific event within a match, such as which player scores first or how many yellow cards occur.
- Responsible Gambling Tools
- Features such as deposit limits, self-exclusion, and reality checks that help you stay in control of betting.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a single bet.
- Unit
- A standard measurement of the size of a bet, often equal to a small percentage of your total bankroll.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability, giving the bettor an expected advantage.
